1929-1995Hijo del actor, productor y director Victor Adamson y de la actriz Dolores Booth, empieza a dirigir en solitario en 1964 peliculas de terror de bajo presupuesto, ademas de un punado de westerns poco imaginativos con actores de segunda fila y minima ambicion artistica. Su mujer, la actriz Regina Carroll, participa con frecuencia en las peliculas de su marido, mal dirigidas, peor montadas, literariamente infimas y que, a pesar de ello, o tal vez gracias a ello, pretenden postularse como peliculas de culto. Five Bloody Graves, conocida tambien, entre otros titulos, como Gun Riders, es un extrano e irritante filme que enarbola como detalle exquisito el dudoso logro de ha cer de la Muerte el narrador en off, apocaliptico y grandilocuente. Adamson murio asesinado, al parecer por el contratista que se habia encargado de la remodelacion de su vivienda, aunque el cuerpo aparecio varios meses mas tarde, macabramente enterrado en la citada obra de remodelacion. Su pelicula Lash of Lust (1974), extrano western para adultos, semiclandestino, fue parcialmente rodada en el tristemente celebre Spahn Ranch (California), asociado a Charles Manson. De vuelta a su ciudad natal, de ahi se encamina a Hollywood. En la Meca del cine es contratado por Warner y a lo largo de los anos 50 sera actor de segunda fila, sobre todo de television. Pasa sus ultimos anos en Espana, don de murio. Dirige capitulos de series de television y cinco peliculas, esto ultimo entre 1954 y 1965. Director desde 1938, a el se debe la realizacion de El hombre lobo (The Wolf Man, 1941), con la que la Universal inauguro su serie de filmes de terror de los 40, con la intencion de reverdecer los exitos que habia obtenido a comienzos de los 30.
